Residential Volunteer Conservation Projects.

The following projects are all of one-week duration:

Vasse-Wonnerup Wetlands

Week 1: Monday 26th July - Friday 30th July

Residential: The Vasse Wetlands are located approximately 16km East of Busselton in the south-west and are classed as a Ramsar site & form part of the Busselton Wetlands. Approximately 96% of the wetlands have been lost or altered due to development, making the Vasse Wetlands signficant to local fauna and birds that live and migrate through the area. Volunteers will be assisting the SWCC & DEC with revegetating the Vasse Wetlands by planting local native wetland seedlings. Accommodation will be in cabins. For more info: call 97542047

Vasse-Wonnerup Wetlands

Week 2: Monday 2nd August - Friday 6th August

Residential: Located east of Busselton in the south-west, the Vasse-Wonnerup

Wetlands is registered under the Ramsar Convention as a wetland of international importance. Covering approx 740 hectares the wetlands provide habitat for thousands of waterbirds of over 80 species each year. Volunteers will be planting native flora species to help mitigate water quality problems. Accommodation will be in cabins.

Week 6: Monday 30th August - Friday 3rd September
